I’ve been experimenting with capsule wardrobes since I was a teen and it’s so much fun to even think this up. You’ll even learn what works for you, what’s your style and what are your favorite color are. We are going to make up a slow fashion wardrobe in natural fibers. You can make it small or big as you want. But you are going to eventually get rid of all your synthetic clothes and replace them with natural fiber clothes. Let’s use the same capsule wardrobe for “Braless for Health” but this one will be an all year wardrobe with Spring and Fall items being the same since the temperatures are similar:

All-Year Slow Fashion Capsule Wardrobe:
(Choose 4 colors and 3 neutrals)
3 tank tops
2 mesh or lace over tops
5 tees
2 mesh or lace open front vests or cardis
2 casual dresses
2 long and light skirts
1-2 Loose warm weather pants
2 mid thigh shorts
3 Warm Weather Shoes (leather sandals, canvas tennis shoes, ankle-tie espadrilles)
Warm Weather Accessories: mesh scarf, straw hat, Mesh tote or cotton back pack.
3 long sleeve t-shirts
3 cardigans or jackets (casual drop sleeve, zip up with collar or hood, set in sleeve with buttons)
3 sweaters (1 cable, 1 rib, 1 textured)
1 long and tighter weave skirt
2 loose fitting cooler weather pants
Cool Weather Shoes: 2 pair boots (1 one to go with prairie skirts and one for snow or rain) 1 pair leather loafers or flats, 1 pair closed-toe slip on clogs.
Cool Weather Accessories: Soft Beret, shawl scarf with tassels, Messenger Bag.
The colors might be more difficult to choose because Spring and Fall use the same items so colors like bright white and rusty orange might not be what you want but maybe you can make it work or it looks OK or good to you. You choose. You don’t have to do this all at once either. Maybe you can get rid of one polyester top, nylon shorts or acrylic sweater that you already own once a week or once a month. I know some people think differently but I’m going to put it out in the trash bin that I know will go in a landfill to start the 300-500 year decomposition process. I don’t want it to affect anyone’s health by selling it, donating it or giving it to someone I know. My clothing donations to charity or gifts to loved ones will be natural fiber ones. Make sure everyone knows you switched from wearing synthetic fibers and sythetic blends to all natural fibers so they won’t buy you the wrong gift. They might qmake a mistake and get you something that is 50% cotton and 50% polyester just because this whole natural fiber idea confuses them and they shop at regular stores and it is the best they can find and they want to make you happy. In that case use it for 1 or 2 years to make them happy before replacing it.
I hope this works for you! Have fun knitting or sewing or weaving items or sourcing them from local and national stores.
